The MP 1 / Redi-Flo2 submersible pump is specially designed for purging and sampling of monitoring wells. Originally designed by Grundfos, Royal Eijkelkamp is now exclusive manufacturer of this unique groundwater pump. It’s the only pump in the world which can lift water up to 90 m above water level within a well with a diameter as small as 50 mm (2 inch)!

The high capacity of this pump allows for quick purging of the measuring point. By setting a low pumping capacity the same pump can be used for sampling. The pump housing is completely made of stainless steel, which helps prevent contamination of the sample. Its is also resistant against corrosive fluids.

The pump motor is controlled by an adjustable frequency converter. Thanks to the variable setting of the frequency, the capacity of the pump can be adjusted from 0 to 2m3 /hour. This results in a steady flow of anaerobe water.

Every measurement point must be purged before samples can be taken. The large capacity of the MP 1 pump ensures that the measuring point is quickly purged. By setting it at a lower pumping capacity, the MP 1 can also be used for sampling.

Built-in safeguards protect the MP 1 and the converter against overload. The actual frequency can be read from a display.
