Percussion gouge augers are ideal for sampling in harder soils or in top layers containing rubble or stones, for example in urban areas. The gouge is driven into the ground with a percussion hammer.
The bottom part of the percussion gouge is fitted with an RD32 connection and a hardened cutting head. The RD32-connection is generally used in firmer, drier soils.
