010300102This design is most suitable for augering in hard stiff soils, mixed with gravel. The very sharp extremities of the auger bits point at a downwards angle. This design makes the auger go through the soil easily.
If it is not necessary to auger beyond a depth of 1.20 m, Eijkelkamp offers the one-piece augers. With the same possibilities in terms of various models and diameters as the extendable types it is a more simple, light weight and economic solution.
