This set contains a gouge auger (heavy design) and extension rods with a conical screw thread connection, hammer with nylon heads (impact absorbing design), push-/pull handle, various accessories and a strong carrying bag for transport in the field. The set is suitable for sampling in hard soils to a depth of 5 meters.
The gouge auger is made out of carbon steel strip which is forged into its half cylindrical form with parallel cutting edges. No lacquering or zinc plating has been added to the strong high-tensile steel. The gouge augers can be extended by coupling an extension rod. This way samplings can be carried out in a very short time and greater depths can be reached. For durability, make sure the set is dry and clean before storing it.
